The NSW Division of Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) is the state body responsible for Commonwealth Games operations, fund-raising, publicity and development in New South Wales. The Division assists the national body with key fund-raising strategies to provide funding, clothing, travel, accommodation and accreditation of athletes and officials to each Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games.
The objects of the Division are:
(i) to create interest in, and promote the ideals of the Games throughout New South Wales,
(ii) to ensure, through the bodies in New South Wales controlling the sports conducted at the Games, the proper and adequate representation of and participation by Australia at the Games,
(iii) to represent the Division at meetings of Commonwealth Games Australia, and
(iv) to do all such other acts and things incidental to the attainment of these objectives including cooperation with private or government organisations.
Commonwealth Games NSW is both an incorporated association and a not-for-profit organisation.
